I started at the GSCPA on March 1, 2006.

I have one ferret named Shaq. My husband loves basketball and wanted to name him after his favorite basketball player at the time. He is like our child since we don’t have any and if the way we treat him is any indication of the way our child will be; then he or she will be very spoiled.

The word that describes me best is organized.

My greatest accomplishment is probably being the first person in my immediate family to graduate college with a Bachelor’s degree and being the first person on my father’s side of the family to graduate college at all. Read the rest of this entry »

Focus on the Positive

Written by: Jennifer Poff

My New Year’s resolution this year was to spend more time with family and focus on the positive things in my life. I found out that it is a little harder than I thought it was going to be to focus on the positive things.

Introducing Jennifer Poff

Written By: Jennifer Poff

I am new to the blogging world and when discussing this with older relatives they asked me what the point of blogging was and I tried to explain that it was an outlet to voice your thoughts. The next response was when do you have time to do that and why would you. I guess blogging has not caught on with everyone yet, but I decided I would give it a try.

I am currently the Member Services Coordinator with the Society and since my job requires me to connect with the members and I enjoy doing so, I thought this would be an ideal way to do it. I’m not the most tech savvy person, but am enjoying learning about all the social media that is available (twitter, facebook, blogs, etc). I don’t know how often I will have something to write about or what I will write about, but I hope to write enjoyable blogs that members can relate to in their personal lives.
