Introducing Lalit Ramchandani aka Leo
Written by: Lalit Ramchandani aka Leo
Hi all,
I am Lalit Ramchandani aka Leo.
I am super excited to be blogging at the house of blogs. This is my first blog post so I figure it’s best to let you know about me a little bit and hopefully we can learn a lot from each other in the future.
I am currently a Master’s of Accounting student at Georgia Southern University with an emphasis in Information Systems and SAP which I am enjoying. I also hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the same university and did research on facebook during the time.
I am super excited to announce that I have come to know as of this past weekend that I am the first Student Representative on Campus for SAP regarding data visualization via a Student Dashboarding Club. We will soon be entering a contest for data visualizations. More on that as it comes along.
On another note, an accounting dream I had the other night was to have two dogs someday named “Tax” and “Audit”. Tax will be with me from January to April 15 and Audit will travel around with me for the rest of the year. Until next time, Chao!

Bonus Points
Written by: Josh Sanders
Bonus points are great, aren’t they? For good students they’re like a well appreciated extra little “thanks for being awesome” at the end of the semester, but for poor students they are the objects of their most passionate desires. I will never understand why some people don’t do anything all semester long and then scramble for bonus points just before the final. How do they expect it to help at all?
In my Principles of Accounting II class this semester the professor offered 5 extra points (out of 1,000) to every student in the class if 80% of the students filled out the online course evaluation. During the three-week period we had to do this I was bombarded daily by obnoxious message board postings and mass emails with hundreds of recipients. The all went a little something like this: “Please please PLEEEEAAAASSSSSEEEE fill out the evaluation!!!!!!!!! I know you may not need the points, but they can really help out some of us!!! Do the right thing and help your classmates. THEY NEED YOU!!!!!!” Read the rest of this entry »
GOOD AT SPANISH?!?!?

This semester is going great! It’s really stressful, but things are starting to come together in terms of professional development. Last Thursday I received the KPMG Award for Academic Excellence, and today I found out that Deloitte selected me based on faculty nomination and my resume to attend one of their leadership conferences. The Rialto
Written by: Josh Sanders
Hello everyone! I’m really excited for this week because on Thursday I get to walk across the stage at the Rialto to accept an award from Dr. Huss, the Dean of the Robinson College of Business, and KPMG. Other than that, though, nothing is going on….which is a good thing. Life has been stressful lately but is slowing down. Read the rest of this entry »
Ramblin Man
Written by: Josh Sanders
PHEW! I can breathe again. Midterms are finally over (they all went well, in case you were wondering). I guess this is sort of what it will be like after I graduate–a huge rush of work evaluated by outside entities just before April
. To celebrate the end of midterms (or really just the two week break before I start having exams again) I went out to dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and then went Grand Prix racing with my roommates (and won, by the way….no one can sling a go-kart around a corner like I can).
